Miracles happen at the Ronald McDonald House

When Jenna Berge was 20 weeks pregnant, doctors found a spot on her baby’s heart. Soon after the discovery the Berge family had to go stay at the Ronald McDonald house so the spot could be monitored. When Miles was born, he miraculously passed every test and that is when the family created “Miracle Miles.” The Berge family stayed at the Ronald McDonald house four years ago and continue to give back. The first ever donation was just 40 gifts. This year, they needed a trailer to haul 564 gifts, $610 of cash and gift card donations, 50 newborns hats and 45 pounds of pop tabs. The donations collected by the family will be able to bless many families who stay at the house. Some of the donations will also be added to the “snowflake room” which is a special room that the house has around the holiday season where parents can go and pick out gifts for their kids. The Berge family was not at the house long, but they were touched and sympathized for families that have to spend time there during the holidays. For many families the Ronald McDonald house is a home away from home, the Berge family wants to assure Christmas is as cheerful as possible for the families that have to stay during Christmas away from other families and create miracles for them.
