Charlotte McDonald’s Raised Over $154,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities

Image
Recently, Ronald McDonald House Charities received a $154,000 donation from McDonald’s restaurants gifted towards our Charlotte Chapter. McDonalds raised the money in a drive through challenge in the Charlotte area to see which restaurant can raise the most money for RMHC. Due to COVID-19, our house chapters have suffered a substantial loss in funding, thankfully this friendly competition was set in place to aid in the financial damages we have faced. The competition, “Round Up for RMHC” allowed people who purchased through the drive through to round up $1, $3 or $5 for Ronald McDonald House. All of our house chapters, Charlotte included, provide a comfortable temporary home for the families of children seeking medical care. We are thankful for “Round Up for RMHC” as it has allowed us to focus on what we know best and continue to support the families that continue to choose our organization. Ronald McDonald House Completes their $12 Million Campaign

Here at Ronald McDonald House, we pride ourselves on being an established and trusted resource for families in need. Our Dallas location has experienced a 90 percent daily increase in the amount of guests that stay each day. Clearly our Dallas location was unable to meet the high demand of people in need of services, so we launched a capital campaign plan with M. Gale. Together we have completed such tasks like, a 90-day planning study assessing fundraising capacity, capital campaign management for more than two years, a development plan and assessment to assist with operational support included in the campaign goal. With our study complete, we launched our $12 Million Dollar campaign. We are proud of our strong reputation within our community and we are so thankful for the support esteemed hospital partners.  The key to our campaign was to reopen our relationships of past supporters and also find new donors interested in financial donations. Thankfully, The Crystal Charity Ball an...

Miracles happen at the Ronald McDonald House

When Jenna Berge was 20 weeks pregnant, doctors found a spot on her baby’s heart. Soon after the discovery the Berge family had to go stay at the Ronald McDonald house so the spot could be monitored. When Miles was born, he miraculously passed every test and that is when the family created “Miracle Miles.” The Berge family stayed at the Ronald McDonald house four years ago and continue to give back. The first ever donation was just 40 gifts. This year, they needed a trailer to haul 564 gifts, $610 of cash and gift card donations, 50 newborns hats and 45 pounds of pop tabs. The donations collected by the family will be able to bless many families who stay at the house. Some of the donations will also be added to the “snowflake room” which is a special room that the house has around the holiday season where parents can go and pick out gifts for their kids. The Berge family was not at the house long, but they were touched and sympathized for families that have to spend time there du...
