Ronald McDonald House Completes their $12 Million Campaign
Here at Ronald McDonald House, we pride ourselves on being an established and trusted resource for families in need. Our Dallas location has experienced a 90 percent daily increase in the amount of guests that stay each day. Clearly our Dallas location was unable to meet the high demand of people in need of services, so we launched a capital campaign plan with M. Gale. Together we have completed such tasks like, a 90-day planning study assessing fundraising capacity, capital campaign management for more than two years, a development plan and assessment to assist with operational support included in the campaign goal. With our study complete, we launched our $12 Million Dollar campaign. We are proud of our strong reputation within our community and we are so thankful for the support esteemed hospital partners.
The key to our campaign was to reopen our relationships of past supporters and also find new donors interested in financial donations. Thankfully, The Crystal Charity Ball announced RMHD as one of their 2018 recipients of ball proceeds with a very generous seven-figure gift. Additionally, to boost the capital campaign was a $4.5 million gift from AbbVie Pharmaceuticals, the largest donation ever to the RMHC. With this giant gift, we moved construction timelines and groundbreaking up several months and the new wing has been open since December 2019. To date, the campaign has raised more than $12 million with gifts still currently being received.
